The Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme
Am I eligible for an insulation grant?
To qualify for an insulation grant, you must meet the following conditions:

You own and live in a home that was built before 2008.
-
You (the homeowner) hold a Community Services Card or your home is located in a qualifying area within deprivation levels 5–10 (we can confirm this for you).

Your home does not currently have ceiling and underfloor insulation. (If you received an insulation grant for a previous property, you are still eligible to apply for your current home.)
Am I eligible for a heating grant?
To qualify for a heating grant, the following conditions must be met:

You own and live in a home that was built before 2008.

You (the homeowner) hold a Community Services Card or live in a qualifying area within deprivation levels 9–10 (we can check this for you).

Your home has ceiling and underfloor insulation installed to EECA standards (we can confirm if your home meets these requirements).

Your home does NOT have an operational fixed heater in any living area (including kitchen, dining room, or open plan kitchen/dining area), such as:

A heat pump

A wood or pellet burner

A flued gas heater

A central heating system

If your home already has one of these heater types in working condition, it is not eligible for a heating grant.
