Book a Home Energy Check or a Free Insulation Assessment with Community Energy Action today. We are an independent charitable trust that helps people in Canterbury and the West Coast to have warmer homes in winter, and cooler homes in summer.

You may be eligible for a subsidy towards the cost of a Home Energy Check, depending on the funding available at the time of booking.

One of our experienced and highly qualified energy advisors will provide in-home energy advice tailored to the homeowner/occupant. A Home Energy Check looks at everything to do with the warmth and energy efficiency of your home –including but not limited to insulation, heating, ventilation, draughts, lighting, moisture, and curtains.
The check takes one-two hours, and you will receive a written report which is tailored to your personal (including financial and practical) circumstances. The report will include recommendations and cost-benefit estimates of various energy efficiency improvements.
The Cost for a Home Energy Check is $450+gst for Landlords/Property Managers and Renters as unfortunately we currently have no funding to cover the cost for Renters.
