Community Energy Action (CEA), a Christchurch based charitable trust, is seeking new trustees. Established in 1994, CEA is the longest running community energy enterprise in New Zealand, and has successfully brought insulation and other energy improvements to over 20,000 households in Christchurch and surrounding areas. We have a particular focus on helping vulnerable households and run many special programmes in partnership with Government agencies, health providers, energy companies, and non-government organisations.
We are looking for 2 trustees to join the existing board and provide the governance for the organisation. These positions offer great rewards in terms of satisfaction and contribution to the community. As well as being involved in the oversight of existing programmes, trustees will be helping establish CEA’s new initiatives to contribute to Christchurch’s recovery and redevelopment.
We are looking for local people, committed to fair and sustainable energy outcomes, who can bring governance experience, strategic skills, community connections or business skills to the trust.
