CEA is governed by a board of experienced, voluntary trustees.
Don is the chair of Community Energy Action. He is currently working as the Resource and Sustainabilty Manager for Fulton Hogan in Christchurch. In the past Don has worked for Environment Canterbury as a Programme Manager in the development of regional policy and strategy across a number of portfolios. Don has experience in central and local government, management and people development.
For a number of years Don has been a Trustee of Opawa Primary School.
|Ian is deputy Chair of Community Energy Action. He is a Project Management Consultant with a background in local government management and infrastructure development, including leading teams in building and community development projects. A member of the executive and past chair of the South Island Branch of the Project Management Institute NZ, Ian also facilitates stakeholder consultation and trains in construction and project management.|
Sam comes to us with a background in youth and community development, and a strong focus on social justice and human rights. Currently Sam works as an educator for CPIT at the Next Step Centre for Women, here in Christchurch. She is passionate about people, eradicating poverty and being a Pacific nation.
David is a Associate Director at Walker Davey Searells Chartered Accountants and has previously worked at Nexia New Zealand as Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor. He has experience working with large and small businesses across New Zealand and working with business owners to improve their businesses to achieve their personal and business goals. His experience includes roles as a CFO, Independent Director and Trustee in community based health sector organisations. David has previously worked in the banking and finance sector.
David is Head of Planning at the Christchurch City Council. Prior to this, David worked for Planning Team of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). David has also worked as GM Residential Rebuild & Housing with the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) where he was responsible for a programme of works that covered both supply of new housing to replace lost stock and the repair/rebuild of existing homes. David’s earlier career included roles with the Ministry of Social Development and Housing New Zealand. David is the Deputy Chair of Comcare Trust and is on the national Boards of the Child Cancer Foundation, Canteen and Neighbourhood Support.
